Rewarding Quality in Nursing Homes
In 2012, the GOP-led Legislature maintained their focus on improving quality in
health care by offering “pay for performance” grants for nursing homes in rural
Minnesota. By providing extra funding to those nursing facilities that display better
quality of care and higher results, this measure will serve to promote competition
and improvement in elderly care across the board.
